Updates on Kacie
I wanted to update all who keep up with Kacie and what is going on. We have finally recieved all her paper work from the doctors. I PUT IT IN THE MAIL ON FRIDAY, MARCH 7th!! It seemed like it took forever to get everything gathered. And when I thought I had everything I found out I needed something else and some lab work. Now we are just waiting to hear back from them. Hopefully it won't be to long. We are so excited and ready to go.
Thank You Again To All!

Updates on Kacie & Fundraisers
Gassville Baptist Church is also going to have a benefit concert for Kacie. It will be Sunday March 9th at 6:30 P.M. at Gassville Baptist Church. Jerry Hopper and family will be performing.
A benefit for Kacie will be held at the Gepp Fire Dept. on April 19th. There will be a band performing and also a dinner will be served. They will also draw for a gun and a quilt that they are selling chances for. The gun can be seen at T&K convenient store at Gepp, AR you can buy tickets there also. When I learn more on the time I will update it.
We will also be having a benefit yard sale in April I'm not sure on the date yet. It is going to have lots of clothing, house items, a playstation 2, and many other items from several families.
We are currently waiting on Kirshner to return from China and answer some more questions we have about what else we need from her doctors. I thought I had everything ready and then learned we needed some more info. from the Endocrinologist.
I will try to find out more and update everyone, when I find out. Til next time......

Kacie's hope is vision
Kacie Sallee is an 8 year old girl who lives in Mountain Home, Ar. Kacie was 3months old when we were told she was blind . Kacie has Septo Optic Dysplasia. Septo Optic Dysplasia is a congenital malformation syndrome manifested by hypoplasia (underdevelopment) of the optic nerve, hypopituitarism, and absence of the septum pellucidum (a midline part of the brain). In a severe case, this results in pituitary hormone deficiencies, blindness, and mental retardation.) While Kacie does suffer from pituitary hormone deficiencies and blindness, she does not suffer from mental retardation. She is a very smart little girl. Kacie is so sweet and is always laughing. She always makes us smile.
When she was born 8 years ago they told us there was nothing that could be done for her blindness. No hope of her ever seeing the things we see and take for granted. Now there is hope and it is in China (stemcellschina.com). Please help us give this to Kacie. Kacie's hope is Vision.
"Eyesight" is the ability to see while "Vision" is the ability to understand what you see.
